Jennifer Fanning

In 2016, at 40 years old, I heard the words that no one wants to hear. “You have cancer.” When you hear those words your life turns upside down and you immediately fear that you may die. How do I tell my children? How would they live without their mom? I want to see my children graduate from high school. I want to see them get married and hold my grandbabies. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer and underwent 4 surgeries in a year and a half, chemotherapy and radiation. I lost my hair, I got sick and I have been poked and prodded so many times I have lost count. But through it all I had a goal. I will beat this and will come back stronger than I was.

On October 23rd I will be riding in the Young Survival Coalition’s (YSC) Tour de Pink bike ride that raises money in support of young women like myself diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This is a 1-day journey this year that will take me over 60 miles.

Part of my desire to participate in this ride is to raise $2,000 for the Young Survival Coalition. YSC is an organization that was there for me from the moment I was diagnosed with information, support and hope. There are an estimated 250,000 breast cancer survivors age 40 or younger who are living in the United States, and since 1998, YSC has dedicated itself to improving and extending life for all young women with breast cancer.

I’m hoping you will help support me on this journey and any donation amount would be amazing and appreciated. You can make a check out to Young Survivor Coalition (tax write off!) and please put my name in the memo field so it goes towards my ride.
YSC is the largest nonprofit dedicated exclusively to young adults diagnosed with breast cancer age 40 and under and their co-survivor support networks. Through educational resources and programming, annual conferences, and local and online support networks, YSC ensures no young adult faces breast cancer alone. For more information, visit
You can view YSC’s audited financials and annual reports online here:

As I get moving for the survivors and thrivers, I plan to update this page frequently along with my social media accounts so that all of my supporters can see my progress towards my fundraising and personal fitness goals.
Thank you in advance for your support. I truly appreciate your generosity.

Jen, This donation is from our Club Pilates family in San Marcos, Encinitas, and Carlsbad. We held a workout in your name and generous people donated for class and donated throughout the day. We all hope this gives you some extra strength on your 60 mile journey. So many people have been personally impacted by breast cancer and they all wanted to support such an amazing cause. Rock that ride, We love you!! Can you believe it? $600 to date. I was honestly hoping for $150 and am amazed and what we raised for you and your team.
