As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer back on March 13, 2017 at the age of 29.

I was triple positive with an aggressive form of cancer.

I went through six sessions of chemo beginning May 5, 2017. I used a cold cap during these sessions so I did not lose all of my hair.
I then had a lumpectomy and then radiation. My last day of radiation was December 26, 2017.

I kept this journey very private. At the time, it felt as if being public about my diagnosis made it feel more real.

I was in my final semester of law school when I was diagnosed. Thanks to the amazing Dean and facility at SMU Law School I was able to still graduate while starting chemo.

I sadly had to miss out on taking the July 2017 bar exam but was able to take and pass the February 2018 bar exam.

Since then, YSC has helped me process and connect with other young survivors. Every year they have a bike ride to raise money and connect other survivors.

I have signed up for this year's West Coast ride in Ventura, California on October 23, 2021.

Any donation is much appreciated! Thank you!!!

Organization's language:

There are more than 250,000 survivors who were diagnosed with breast cancer before age 40 living in the U.S. today. They are navigating an already permanently altered life after cancer now compounded by COVID-19.

I have made the exciting decision to participate in the YSC Tour de Pink Lisa J. Frank Memorial Ride this year to raise funds to support them through the Young Survival Coalition (YSC).
I hope I can count on you to help me reach my fundraising goal. Any amount helps!

YSC is the largest nonprofit dedicated exclusively to young adults diagnosed with breast cancer age 40 and under and their co-survivor support networks. Through educational resources and programming, annual conferences, and local and online support networks, YSC ensures no young adult faces breast cancer alone. For more information, visit youngsurvival.org.

You can view YSC’s audited financials and annual reports online here: youngsurvival.org/who-we-are/financial-information

As I get moving for survivors and thrivers, I plan to update this page frequently along with my social media accounts so that all of my supporters can see my progress towards my fundraising and personal fitness goals.

Thank you in advance for your support. I truly appreciate your generosity.
