Welcome to Queen Mary's Page

Queen Mary

Welcome to Queen Mary’s team page!

Mary Vencill was a long time AIDS/Lifecycle rider and Training Ride Leader. She was a great mentor and friend to so many in the ALC community (affectionately known as the "love bubble"). She passed away not long after having participated in ALC 2017 as a roadie, her 14th. She is the one who gives our team meaning.

In the last few weeks of her life, we see the outpouring of love and support within the love bubble, from dear friends who know her intimately, to the ones who have barely crossed path with her but are still deeply touched by who she is. It’s yet another testament to Mary’s magic of bringing people together and empowering them to help others, even in her absence.

Team Queen Mary is first and foremost a living memorial to celebrate her and the life she’s led. Generosity, dedication, compassion, leadership, and camaraderie…If you believe in what Mary embodies, we want you! Please join us on the YSC Tour de PINK ride

We each have our own reasons for joining in this effort, but we are all committed to supporting Young Survival Coalition, the largest nonprofit dedicated exclusively to young adults diagnosed with breast cancer age 40 and under and their co-survivor support networks

Tour de Pink is much more than just a bike ride, it’s a chance to honor survivors, raise awareness that young adults can and do get breast cancer, and to come together as a supportive community.

YSC serves over 8,000 women each year with support and education to be their best health advocate throughout all stages of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and long-term survivorship. YSC also educates and influences the medical, research and legislative communities to address breast cancer in young adults. Through educational resources and programming, annual conferences, and local and online support networks, YSC ensures no young adult faces breast cancer alone. For more information, visit youngsurvival.org.

All three-day riders are required to raise $3,000 and one-day riders to raise $500 for Tour de Pink. We have set our goals high!

Because we are working as a team, with your help, we know that we can do it. Please support us today.

Train with us. Cheer us on and donate to the cause as much as you could.
