Kaitlyn Hanna

The face of a 26 year old metastatic breast cancer survivor who just found out she won a LIV road bike for her 200 mile Tour de Pink race!!!' ( with her side kick pup Charlie girl by her side) Through out this journey I have had some incredibly tough times but also some pretty amazing things happen to me. What I have realized when winning the things I've won I've had some kind of guilt but really why? The reason I've had these opportunities isn't because I'm one lucky girl. No, it's because at age 24 when life is just beginning I'm punched in the face with my own mortality. My world was completely ripped from underneath me. Stage 4 breast cancer was never what I had planned for, in fact it never crossed my mind nor did it for my family and friends. I'm young healthy and in the best shape of my life. But it doesn't discriminate. Cancer can happen to anyone, at any age. I am beyond grateful for all the opportunities I've been given and especially today. Now with this road bike I can participate in an amazing charity that funds towards young women affected by breast cancer. Never in a million years did I think I would ride 200 miles in 3 days. This October I will be riding with my cancer warrior friend @scosentin0 by my side. And I will be riding for all my fellow breast cancer friends and family who are fighting, fought, or unfortunately lost there battle. One day there WILL be a cure for cancer and men and women will not have to suffer from this terrible disease and I sure as hell hope to be here with my fellow fighting friends to witness that day. For this race I need to raise $2500 in order to ride. Im asking anyone who can and is willing to donate towards my team and help me accomplish my goal. Cancer did rock my world but it hasn't stopped me from living my life and I will continue to fight no matter what curve ball it decides to throw my way. Hey, we're given this life because we're strong enough to live it right? ????????
This year I have made an exciting and challenging commitment to participate in YSC Tour de Pink, a three-day, 200 mile bike ride for breast cancer. I know I can do it with your help encouraging me and supporting me with a donation.

Your donation will go to support Young Survival Coalition and ensure that no young woman faces breast cancer alone. YSC is the premier organization providing supportive services and education resources for young women affected by breast cancer.

YSC Tour de Pink is much more than just a bike ride, it’s a chance to honor survivors, raise awareness and support important programs for young women affected by breast cancer. I hope I can count on you to help me reach my fundraising goal!

How will your donation help?

$25 could fund YSC materials at three healthcare providers’ offices.
$100 could provide a Newly Diagnosed Navigator to six women when they need it most.
$250 could allow us to train four survivors to serve as a peer supporters.
$500 could fund a Young Empowered Survivor (YES) educational program.
$1,200 could pay for two young women to travel to the YSC Summit, an annual conference for young women affected by breast cancer and their co-survivors.

Any amount helps!

As I train for this amazing ride I plan to update this page frequently along with my social media accounts so that all of my supporters can see my progress.

Thank you in advance for your support. I truly appreciate your generosity.
