Route

The 2017 Tour de Pink West Coast ride will start in Westlake Village, CA, wind down the California coastline and end in Santa Monica Bay. What can be more synonymous with California than the Beach Boys? As they sang in Surfin' Safari, "I loaded up Woody with the boards on top." We'll use another form of transportation to tour part of the beautiful coast!

Beginning at Westlake Village and descending through Arroyo Conejo (Valley of the Rabbit) around Camarillo, we’ll ride through Oxnard to the Pacific Coast Highway. Heading north to Santa Barbara we get our first glimpse of the crashing surf. The Metric Century riders reach the hotel first, while the Century riders take a detour through the foothills.

On Saturday, (day 2 and the one-day ride option) we begin our southward leg along the coast and turn inland to view the scenic roads around Lake Casitas, where the view is breathtaking. Descending through the canyon we tour around Ventura to our second overnight stay on Pierpont Bay.

Sunday, day 3, is always the fun day, or "Sunday Fun Day". Riding the coast, we pass through Point Mugu State Park, then past Malibu to our celebration destination in Santa Monica Bay. Right next to the sparkling ocean at Will Rogers State Beach you will CELEBRATE your accomplishment, take a dip in the ocean, and most of all, take photos to commemorate this glorious weekend. Bid a fond adieu and promise to meet again.

Ride totals: 207 miles. 8,128 feet elevation
